Welcome to my website, Glass by Jan!  My name is Jan (bet you could tell that) and working with fused glass is my passion.  This website is my way of sharing my love of glass with you.

Fused glass is made by joining two or more pieces of glass using the heat in a kiln.  Process temperatures can range from 1375F to 1525F, depending upon the desired look.  There are so many design possibilities with fused glass – choice of glass, its colors, paints, inclusions, amount of heat and time, mixing medias.  What you see are the results of my creating with these possibilities.  This is my hobby - each product is handmade and is unique.
